It covers the gear a new golfer actually shops for — complete sets, drivers and irons, golf balls, bags, gloves, shoes, and sunglasses — leading with honest picks and plain-English guides rather than the enthusiast vocabulary the category assumes, and it names the mission plainly: "honest picks for the best beginner clubs, sets and gear, with live prices."

Its defining decision is stated on the page: it tests nothing. "Every golf site says it tested twenty sets. We have not tested any, and we say so" — there is "no invented ratings, no lab we don't have," and it has "not hit these clubs on a launch monitor."
