Its tagline states the posture in a line — "the prep-tool specs nobody else lays out" — and it calls the prep bench the honest workbench of the kitchen: the published specs and the arithmetic, no glossy-magazine tone and no fake authority.

Its defining decision is stated where most of the category bluffs, and it prints the count: "Tools we claim to have lab-tested: 0." There is no test lab, it receives no free units, and the phrase "in our testing" appears nowhere on the site because it would not be true. What it does instead is read the manuals, compile each product's published specifications, and cross-check every figure against the manufacturer's own documentation — scoring on work-bowl capacity, motor power (with peak watts labelled apart from the more meaningful continuous rating some brands won't publish), blade and disc counts and materials, and warranty length.
